Goodman named Athletic Enrollment Coordinator

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University has named Yoland Goodman as athletic enrollment coordinator announced Josh Ealy, Director of Athletics.

She will assist with prospective student-athletes through the TU admissions process and work with coaches to ensure recruits are submitting the necessary information for potential enrollment. Her duties include assisting in organizing campus visits and communication with prospective student-athletes.

She will also assist the admissions office with special events and the athletic department with student-athlete development and academic progress.

Goodman, a Tusculum graduate and former track & field student-athlete, returns to Greeneville after serving as an intern in the Southwest Baptist University athletic department during the 2022-2023 academic year. She assisted the athletic director with compliance, NCAA certification, while also working with the offices of financial aid and admissions. She also gained experience with athletic facility management, game day operations and athletic media relations.

"We are thankful to have Yoland join our team in a dual role with admissions," said Ealy. "She will be vital in assisting and supporting our coaches as we matriculate our prospective students into student-athletes. We are happy she is a Pioneer again!"

Goodman competed on the Tusculum track and field from 2018-2021 where she was a middle distance runner, specializing in the 800 and 1500 meters. During her time with the Pioneers, she posted five of the top-10 times in the 800-meter event in program history. Her 800 time of 2:21.39 at the 2019 Gamecock Invitational is still second in the TU record book.

"I am so humbled and grateful for this opportunity. It's a blessing to be able to give back to the very program that helped me grow as a student-athlete," Goodman said. "I look forward to being an asset in building student-athlete development and helping lead our team in character and integrity."

The Brooklyn, New York native earned her Bachelor of Science from Tusculum in 2021 while majoring in criminal justice with a concentration in forensic investigation. She completed her Master of Science in Education from Southwest Baptist in 2023 and majored in athletic and activity administration. While at SBU, she was a member pf the track team where she competed in the 400 meters, 400 meter hurdles and the 4x400 relay team.

The former Yoland Boyce is married to Malik Goodman, former Tusculum All-Region defensive back, who is entering his fourth season on the Pioneer football coaching staff.
