GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Lakesa Hendrix has signed a national letter of intent to attend Tusculum College and run cross country for the Pioneers announced Pioneer head coach Suzanne Byrd.

Hendrix, a native of Henderson, Tenn., was a two-time All-County standout at Station Camp High School. She competed at the State Cross Country championship in her junior and senior campaigns. He has posted personal-best times of 22:24 (5,000m), 6:31 (mile) and 1:05 (400m).

"Lakesa will bring an incredible work ethic and athleticism to our team," said Byrd. "She has run several distances, including the sprints, and will bring that speed with her as a Lady Pioneer. I'm excited to have her join our team."

Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of 10 colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
