ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University outside hitter Emiah Burrowes has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
Burrowes, a junior from Wesley Chapel, North Carolina, led the Pioneers to a pair of South Atlantic Conference home wins last week. She averaged 4.29 kills and 1.17 digs per set, while posting a sizzling .414 hitting percentage.
In TU's 3-0 sweep over Catawba, she tallied nine kills and a .412 attack percentage. She followed with a double-double of 21 kills and 10 digs in a four-set victory against Queens.
On the season, Burrowes is averaging 3.32 kills (3rd in SAC) and 2.12 digs per set to go along with a .277 hitting percentage.
Tusculum (13-2, 9-1 SAC) is riding a three-match winning streak and remain atop the league standings. The Pioneers return to action this Friday night when they host Coker at 7 p.m.
