AUSTIN, Texas --- Four Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Academic All-District® 3 first team as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Earning Academic All-District® honors for the Pioneers are: Katie Bradley, Elodie Baechler, Thilda Danielsson and Ylva Frafjord Landa.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
District 3 is comprised of colleges and universities representing the South Atlantic Conference, Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, must be at least a sophomore and be in lineup for 70 percent of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.
Bradley, a junior from Auchterarder, Scotland, has a 3.81 cumulative grade point average while majoring in psychology. She is a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and was a SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll selection while playing at Emory & Henry University in 2024.
Baechler, a senior from La Rippe, Switzerland, has a 3.98 GPA while majoring in sport management. She is a member of the President's List, SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
She earns this honor for the third time in her career, becoming only the third Pioneer in program history to achieve this feat. She joins three-time winner Franziska Funke (2016-2018) and four-time honoree Annie McCullough (2018-2021). She is a three-time ITA Academic Team choice and earned the 2024 Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.
Baechler played in 18 singles matches where she amassed a 7-3 record including 5-0 in league play to garner All-SAC second team honors. She also amassed an 8-8 doubles record which included a 5-2 worksheet in conference matches earning All-SAC doubles recognition for a third time in her career.
Danielsson, a sophomore from Ahus, Sweden, boasts a 3.97 GPA and is majoring in business administration. She is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Dean's List, President's List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
In her 19 appearances, she went 8-11 overall in doubles competition, including 6-5 in SAC play.
Landa, a junior from Sandes, Norway, has a 3.60 GPA and is majoring in business administration. She is a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Landa garnered All-SAC doubles distinction with Baechler as she went 9-7 overall including 5-2 in SAC play.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced this summer.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-2025 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
