ROME, Ga. --- Tusculum University's Annie McCullough and Caitlin McCullough finished as the Division II runner-up in women's doubles at the ITA Cup on Saturday.

The McCullough sisters lost to the Nova Southeastern team of Natalie Espinal and Sarah Wardenburg by a score of 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 in a match that was delayed for several hours by rain before being moved indoors to the nearby Lawrence Plantation at Horseleg Creek.

In the first set the McCulloughs went ahead 4-3, then rallied from 4-5 and 5-6 deficits to force a tiebreaker, but Espinal and Wardenburg won the first six points of the tiebreaker en route to the set victory. In the second set, the McCulloughs were up 3-1 and 4-3, but Espinal and Wardenburg won the final three games to claim the Division II championship.

Annie McCullough also completed her singles competition at the ITA Cup with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Anna Savchenko of Azusa Pacific. McCullough went 2-1 during the tournament to improve her career singles record at Tusculum to 91-15.
