Bristol trio paces Tusculum Women's tennis to shutout at King

BRISTOL, Tenn. --- Bristol natives Katelyn Doss, Courtney Conley and Megan Buckmaster recorded two points apiece to lead the Tusculum College women's tennis team to a 9-0 win at King College Tuesday afternoon.

The Pioneers (3-1) swept all three doubles matches including 8-2 pro set wins at the top two flights. The No. 1 duo of Doss and Holly Verner knocked off Karissa King and Sarah Anderson, while the No. 1 pairing of Conley and Taylor Patterson defeated Kayla Ketron and Eden Sherrod.

Tusculum got straight-set singles victories from Verner, Doss, Conley, Patterson, Buckmaster and Kate Hutchinson.

Tusculum returns to action this Saturday as the Pioneers travel to North Greenville University for a noon match in Tigerville, S.C.
