GREER, S.C. --- The Tusculum College women's tennis team
posted a 9-0 road win at North Greenville University Saturday
afternoon in the Pioneers regular season finale. Tusculum moves its
record to 16-4, winning eight of its last nine matches.
Tusculum returns to action Apr. 22, when the Pioneers host a
quarterfinal round match of the 2009 Food Lion South Atlantic
Conference Tournament. Match time and opponent have yet to be
determined.
The Pioneers jumped out to a 3-0 lead winning all three doubles
matches, including an 8-5 pro set victory at the third flight by
the TC duo of Jessi Smith and Heidi von
der Lage.
Tusculum also got singles victories by Jennifer
Sparks, Katelyn Doss, Amanda
Pike, Caroline Crowe, Blake
Thompson and von der Lage.
