GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The No. 27 Tusculum College women's team blanked visiting Lenoir-Rhyne University, 9-0 in South Atlantic Conference play at the Nichols Tennis Complex Tuesday afternoon.
The Pioneers (12-3, 5-0 SAC) remain in sole possession of first place in the league, while recording their fourth straight victory. Lenoir-Rhyne (0-12, 0-4 SAC) remains winless on the season.

Tusculum swept all three doubles points, including an 8-2 win at the top flight by Caroline Crowe and Katelyn Doss. The No. 3 duo of Heidi von der Lage and Jessi Smith won 8-0 in their match.

In singles, Jennifer Sparks (SAC Player of the Week), Amanda Pike, Blake Thompson, Crowe, Doss and von der Lage each won in straight sets to cap off the win.

Tusculum will host Newberry College this Friday at 3 p.m., while Lenoir-Rhyne will be at Brevard on Wednesday in South Atlantic Conference action.
