KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Tusculum College
midfielder Katja Andersson has been named to the 2015 NCAA Division
II All-Southeast Region Women's Soccer third team as selected by
the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Andersson, a freshman from Enstaberga, Sweden, finished third on
the team in scoring with her six goals, which are tied for 16th in
the SAC. The 2015 All-South Atlantic Conference second team
honoree tallied a pair of assists to give her 14 points on the
season. Anderson played in all 19 matches and earned a spot in the
starting lineup for the last 12 contests. She assisted on the
match-winning goal in Tusculum's 1-0 road win at Catawba College
(Oct. 24).
Tusculum (9-8-2) ended its season last month with a SAC quarterfinal loss at No. 3-seed Queens University of Charlotte. The Pioneers extend their streak to 18 consecutive years with a non-losing campaign.
