GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University women's lacrosse head coach Jenna Agostino has stepped down from her post after five seasons announced Josh Ealy, Vice President for Athletics.
Ealy indicated that assistant coach Zoe Harpine will be coordinating the day-to-day operations of the program while a national search for a new head coach begins immediately.
She led the Pioneers to a 33-50 record at the Greeneville school including a 9-9 worksheet this past spring as Tusculum qualified for the South Atlantic Conference postseason for the first time since 2018. Her 33 victories are the most by a head coach in the 12-year history of the program.
"I want to thank Jenna for guiding our women's lacrosse program for the past five years," Ealy said. "Her hard work and dedication helped build the Pioneers into a SAC postseason contender. We wish Jenna and her family all the best in their future endeavors."
Agostino mentored seven All-Conference players while six student-athletes garnered Academic All-District distinction including 2023 SAC Women's Lacrosse Scholar Athlete of the Year Tia Tuininga.
"I️ am so grateful for my time at Tusculum. When I️ took over the program, I️ had big dreams for it and the support I️ received from the school, my peers, and most importantly my players, will be something I️ cherish forever," said Agostino. "I️ cannot say thank you enough to all the alumni, parents, student-athletes, my former GAs, and my right-hand woman in all of this, Zoe, for always believing in me and wanting to be a part of what we've built."
