GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's lacrosse team will compete in its first ever postseason contest on Tuesday night when it plays host to Coker College in the quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament at Pioneer Field.

The Pioneers have earned the third seed in the SAC tourney by virtue of their 9-4 overall record in their inaugural campaign. The Cobras are seeded sixth after their 8-5 season and will make their first trip to Pioneer Field.

The game will begin at 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $3 for children under 13 and $2 for students with a college ID. The Tusculum athletic department will be providing the admission charge for all Tusculum students, but they must show a valid TC ID to be admitted.

The Pioneers have been led this season by their two junior captains, Kelsey Crow and Cheyenne Bray. Crow, a midfielder from Franklin, Tennessee, is leading the SAC and ranks fourth nationally with 51 goals. She has 60 total points with the addition of nine assists, and she has put 77 shots on frame with a shooting percentage of 83.7.

Bray has 51 points this year with 35 goals and 16 assists. The attacker from Collierville, Tennessee leads TC with 51 draw controls and has an 84.5 shooting percentage on 49 shots on goal. Freshman captain Madison Malone has a team-high 26 assists, which is also second in the conference. She has 17 goals and leads the team with 50 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers.

Overall, Tusculum has scored 178 goals coming from 14 different players with 90 total assists. Erin Sims has 27 points with 18 goals, while Rachel Del Duca and Savannah Elliott each have 22 points. Calyn Kelly also has 21 points with 49 ground balls and 25 draw controls.

In the cage, TC has featured Brooke Wagner and Kaitlin Winnie. Wagner has a conference-best 46.0 save percentage with 93 total stops. Winnie has a 9.12 goal-against average with 25 total saves.

The Cobras won the regular season meeting at home against the Pioneers 12-8 back on April 4. Danielle Holcomb led Coker with five points, and she and Claudia Jenkins both have a team-best 48 points overall this season. Crow led TC in that contest with four goals and an assist.

The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal between Tusculum and Coker will advance to Friday night's SAC Tournament semifinal and will face second-seed Lenoir-Rhyne University at 6:30 p.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina. The SAC Tournament championship game is scheduled for this Saturday at 5 p.m.13th-ranked Queens University of Charlotte is the tournament's top seed.
