HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team finished 12^th at The Battle at Hilton Head, which was held at the Palmetto Dunes Golf Club.

The Pioneers posted a 54-hole, team aggregate score of 974 in the 19-team tournament field. TU completed its second round on Tuesday morning and posted a 323 before tallying a final round 327 to close out the event.

Wingate, the No. 1 team in NCAA Division II, posted a 20-shot victory as the Bulldogs carded a score of 882. Lander finished second with 902, followed by North Georgia (905), Lincoln Memorial (907), Erskine (909), Carson-Newman (924), Indianapolis (925), Emmanuel (936), Lenoir-Rhyne (942), USC Beaufort (949), Columbus State (970), Tusculum (974), Coker (980), Belmont Abbey (983), Mount Olive (984), North Greenville (1002), Converse (1016), Barton (1097) and Shorter (1272).

Wingate's Amely Bochaton claimed the individual medal as she finished with a seven-under score of 209, 11 shots clear of runner-up Kajsa Lindqvist of Lander (220).

Tusculum senior Reagan Padilla was the low Pioneer for the week as she posted 77-77-78=232.  The TU duo of Annabelle Mozingo (81-79-85=245) and Maylei Hildenbrand (83-79-83=245) tied for 61^st place. Delfin Filiz finished 71^st with 83-88-81=252, while McKenna Williams placed 93^rd with 92-93-85=270.

The Pioneers are back in action next week (Feb. 23-24) as they compete at the Lenoir-Rhyne / Dunes West Intercollegiate in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
