GAINESVILLE, Ga. --- Tusculum University junior Reagan Padilla fired an opening round 77 at the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Golf South Region Championship.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament is being hosted by the University of North Georgia and held at the par-72, 6,168-yard Chattahoochee Golf Club.
Padilla's five-over par total has her tied for 51st place and is nine shots behind co-leaders Claudia Hastings (Limestone) and Abby Franks (North Georgia) who each posted a four-under par 68 in Monday's first round.
Padilla opened with back-to-back bogeys before responding with five straight pars. She bogeyed the eighth hole before posting a par to close out her outward nine with a three-over par total 39.
She opened the back nine with three straight pars to proceed a double bogey on the 13th hole. She carded a par on No. 14 followed by a birdie 3 on No. 15 to get back to four over par for the tournament. She tallied back-to-back pars before scoring a bogey 5 on the last hole to finish off her round of 77.
The second round will be played on Tuesday with the final round wrapping up Regional play on Wednesday.
