KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. --- Mother Nature wreaked havoc at the opening day of the 2014 Tusculum College/Kiawah Island Women's Golf Intercollegiate Saturday at Cougar Point Golf Club. The first round was suspended due to darkness with three groups still remaining on the course.

The first round will be completed on Sunday morning. The final round will follow with a "Shotgun Start" tentatively scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

In rainy and drizzly conditions, the tournament was halted at 10:15 a.m. due to rain and was later resumed at 1:45 p.m.

Complete first round results are not available, but the host Pioneers were in the majority of the 18-team field to complete their opening rounds.

Tusculum posted a team score of 334, led by sophomore Calley Lawson as she fired a 79. Junior Alec Cunningham posted an 80, while senior Sara Howard shot 85. Taylor Lambertsen carded 90, while Kelly Horrell shot 100 to round out the scoring for TC.
