CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College rising freshman Haley Rye fired an even-par 72 to win the Clarksville Ladies City Amateur Wednesday at the Eastland Green Golf Course.

Rye, who will join the Tusculum women's golf program this fall, fired a two-under par score on the back nine to capture the title and erase last year's runner-up performance in the same tournament.

Rye has just completed her prep career at Montgomery Central High School, where she was coached by Greg Lyle. Dye helped lead the Lady Indians to three straight District 10A/AA Tournament championships and a pair of runner-up finishes in the Region Tournament.

Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference, which is comprised of nine colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
