GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Members of the Tusculum University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams participated on day one of the Aggie Invitational at North Carolina A&T State University on Friday.

Junior Jahzara Hart remained in the top 10 nationally in Division II and broke her own school record in the 200 meters to highlight the opening day of competition for the Pioneers.

Action will resume on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

WOMEN'S RECAP
Hart broke her own program record and finished third in the 200 meters at 23.43 seconds, surpassing her old mark of 23.49 seconds set at the Blue Bear Invitational on March 29. Junior Shanice Cox, freshman Kori Moore and junior Theresa Green-White also had career-best times in the 200, with Cox placing eighth at 23.89 seconds, Moore 12th in 24.17 seconds and Green-White in 20th at 24.61 seconds.

In the 1500 meters, junior Jesica Mbhamali moved into fifth place on the program performance list with a time of 5:06.25, good for 15th place.

MEN'S RECAP
Junior Adrian Gumm finished eighth in the discus with a season-best throw of 43.20 meters (141 feet, 8 inches), followed by junior Gavin Rowell in 14th place with a season best of 41.88 meters (137 feet, 5 inches.

In the 200 meters, junior Isaiah Olson took 10th place with a time of 21.27 seconds. Freshman John Ross took 10th in the 400 hurdles with a season-best time of 56.06 seconds.

Senior Ryan Drysch placed ninth in the 5,000 meters at 17:00.19, with junior Jerry Ricker in 10th at 17:32.28.
