NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University men's volleyball sophomore Deklan Wingo was named National Offensive Player of the Night, according to Off the Block.
In the program's first-ever win over Erskine on Tuesday (Jan. 17), the outside hitter from Chester, Virginia racked up 14 kills on a .345 hitting percentage. Wingo also landed three service aces, tied his career-high nine digs, and added a block assist.
On the year, Wingo leads Tusculum in both aces (11) and digs (29). He is also second on the team in kills (55) and third in total blocks (8).
Tusculum goes on the road for six of the next seven matches, beginning with a trip to North Greenville on Thursday (Jan. 19). First serve between the Pioneers and Crusaders is scheduled for 7 p.m.
