GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College men's soccer team opened its fall preseason with its first practice of the 2016 campaign.
Head coach Allen Vital, who is entering his sixth season at the helm of his alma mater, returns 15 lettermen, including seven starters from last year's 9-6-2 squad which finished sixth in the South Atlantic Conference. Among the returnees are 2015 All-SAC selections Jorge Alvarez, Guillermo Lazcano and Andreas Kvam.
The Pioneers will open the season with 31 student-athletes on their roster, which includes representatives from 10 different countries and four U.S. states. Eight seniors highlight roster, along with five juniors, five sophomores and 13 freshmen.
Tusculum will kick off the season on Sept. 1st with a 7 p.m. road match at in-state foe Milligan.
