Jeffers Frazier scored in the 40th minute to lift Shepherd University to a 1-0 win over Tusculum College in non-conference men's soccer action Saturday night at Pioneer Field.

Frazier took a through pass from Chad Vargo, eluded the defense and had an open net to slide home his fourth goal of the season for the Rams (7-4-0) to give them the victory over the Pioneers (2-6-3).

The match statistics were nearly identical, as the Pioneers had a slim 12-11 edge in shots, the Rams were called for 14 fouls to 13 by Tusculum and each team took two corner kicks.

Tusculum's Andy Goellner made two saves in goal, as did Shepherd's Edgar Lopez Zuniga who earned his fifth shutout of the season.
