LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Tusculum University junior attacker Luke Bowen has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Team of the Week for the week of March 16-22. Bowen was selected for the second time this season and the fourth time in his career.
Bowen had five goals and six assists for a career-high 11 points as the Pioneers defeated Mars Hill 17-10 last Wednesday in their only match of the week. Bowen's 11 points are tied for the second-most in a single game in program history, and included three goals and two assists in the final eight minutes.
The Edmonton, Alberta native ranks fourth in the South Atlantic Conference with 21 assists and is eighth with 41 points in eight games this season. In 24 career matches, Bowen has 50 goals and 66 assists for 116 points to rank 10th in program history in points and fourth in assists.
The Pioneers (5-3, 1-3 SAC) host Coker (6-4, 2-3 SAC) on Saturday at noon at Pioneer Field.
