SPARKS, Md. --- The Tusculum men's lacrosse team remains among the teams under consideration for the latest Nike/US Lacrosse Division II rankings.
The Pioneers (3-4, 1-1 South Atlantic Conference) have been included in the survey for each of the past six weeks, and are coming off a close 14-10 loss to third-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday afternoon. Tusculum led by as many as four goals in the match, which was tied entering the fourth quarter before the Bears scored the final four goals to escape with the win.
In addition to Lenoir-Rhyne, Tusculum has losses to 5th-ranked Tampa and 8th-ranked Limestone on its ledger this season. Lenoir-Rhyne is the only SAC school inside the top 20 rankings, with Queens and Wingate joining Tusculum as schools under consideration.
The Pioneers will be on the road Saturday at Queens in a SAC contest, beginning at 3 p.m. in Charlotte.
