TOCCOA, Ga. --- The Tusculum University men's golf team is in seventh place after 27 holes of the 2023 McCoy-Wright Currahee Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event is being held at the par-72, 7,513-yard Currahee Golf Course and hosted by Anderson University.

The Pioneers are 14-over par following the completion of 27 holes with the final 27 holes to be played on Tuesday. TU opened with a 298 after 18 holes and are presently +4 as a team halfway through their second round.

Tusculum's Isak Holter is the low Pioneer so far as he is at level par and is tied for seventh individually. Holter opened with a 74 for his first round and is two-under par halfway through the second, jumping 12 positions up the leaderboard.

North Georgia is leading the team competition at six-under par and are 10 shots in front of second-place Lincoln Memorial (+4).  UNG is being led by 27-hole leader Noah Zediker who is seven-under par and is four shots clear of LMU's Alex James (-3).

Wingate is in third place at five-over par, followed by Columbus State (+6), Flagler (+10), Barton (+11), Tusculum (+14), USC Beaufort (+16), Erskine (+16), Emmanuel (+19), Limestone (+22), Anderson (+23), Belmont Abbey (+24), Newberry (+27), Young Harris (+27) and King (+30).

TU's Morgan Cain is tied for 28^th place at four-over par through 27. He opened with a 75 and is one-over par through nine holes of his second round. Cole Haygood is also at four-over par and is 28^th. He shot a 74 to open Monday's first round and is two-over par for his second round. Dominic Barron Holden is at six-over par and is tied for 43^rd place while Liam van Deventer is tied for 67^th (+11).
