PINEVILLE, Ky. --- Tusculum College's Nick York posted a two-under par 70 and is tied for second place after the opening round of the 2011 Lincoln Memorial University Invitational, which is being held this week at Wasioto Winds Golf Course.

The Pioneers shot a team score of 297 and is in fifth place, 10 shots behind tournament leaders King and Pfeiffer, who both fired 297. Host Lincoln Memorial is third with 295, followed by Lenoir-Rhyne (296), Tusculum, North Greenville (300), Walters State (303), LMU Blue (305), Brevard (306), Cape Fear (306), Anderson (307), Montevallo (309), LMU Gray (310), Limestone (313), Catawba (314) and Virginia-Wise (329).

York and three others are two shots behind first round leader Troy Bulmer of Pfeiffer, who shot a four-under par 68.

Tusculum's David Talley is tied for 26th place with 75, while Warren Cheney and Justin Harvey are tied for 34th after an opening 76. Dakota Norton is tied for 42nd place with 77, along with teammate Derek Cantrell, who is playing as an individual competitor.

The final round will be played on Tuesday on the par 72, 6,825-yard layout located in Southeastern Kentucky.
