Four Pioneers named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Texas --- Four Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society.

Pioneers earning NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognition are: Reginald Hunter, Richard Hunter, Nehemiah Storey and Caleb Swinehart.

To qualify for membership in the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, a student-athlete must: be a starter or significant reserve in one's last year of eligibility at an accredited NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, Football Championship Subdivision, Division II, Division III or an NAIA college or university; achieve a 3.2 cumulative grade point average throughout the entire course of undergraduate study; and meet all NCAA-mandated progress towards degree requirements.

Reginald Hunter, a senior tight end from South Pittsburg, Tennessee, has a 3.58 GPA while majoring in business administration. He is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. During his 28-game career at Tusculum, he has made 30 receptions for 296 yards and a touchdown.

Richard Hunter, a senior quarterback from South Pittsburg, Tennessee, has a 3.25 GPA while majoring in business entrepreneurship and was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. He played in six games under center where he rushed for 111 yards on 58 carries and a touchdown.  He also completed 12 of his 36 pass attempts for 149 yards.

Storey, a senior offensive lineman from Rockwood, Tennessee, majored in pre-physical therapy and boasted a 4.00 GPA. He is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, President's List, Dean's List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. He was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and was a 2024 recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. He started in all 10 games at center for the Pioneers in 2025 and was the 2025-26 recipient of the Tusculum University President's Award.

Swinehart, a senior long snapper from Erwin, Tennessee, graduated in December with a 3.62 GPA as an environmental science major. He is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Dean's List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. He is a two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner and has been TU's starting long-snapper the last two years. He has been credited with four tackles on special teams in 2025.
