ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. --- The Tusculum University women's beach volleyball team finished up the tough Battle on the Bay event on Saturday (Mar. 21).

Tusculum (6-11, 3-1 SACC) plays at home for the final time this season on Wednesday (Mar. 25), hosting Carson-Newman in a 4 p.m. match. The contest will also be Senior Day for Jordyn Anderson, Sylvia Liszewski, Hannah Marsh, Sofia Richmond, and Brynn Smith. 

Match 1: Eckerd 4, Tusculum 1
The Tritons broke the series tie with the Pioneers and now hold a 4-3 advantage all-time.

Hannah Marsh and Sofia Vega Barrantes scored the lone point for TU in the match, winning the top flight by scores of 21-18, 20-22, 15-12.

Brynn Smith and Dasha Nikolaeva pushed the 2's of Eckerd to a decisive third set, but fell 12-21, 21-16, 9-15.

Sylvia Liszewski and Cooper George lost the No. 3 flight by identical 21-11, 21-11 scores.

At No. 4, Siri Aasgard and Ally Doty stumbled 21-14, 21-17.

In the fifth flight, Jordyn Anderson and Ryann Gallagher dropped a 21-14, 21-10 decision.

Match 2: Florida Southern 3, Tusculum 2
The Pioneer pairings were shook up but the Mocs found a way to win.

Marsh and Vega Barrantes finished out their perfect day with a 18-21, 21-18, 15-13 victory at the No. 1 slot.

Smith and Liszewski partnered up at the second flight for the second time this season and won 21-10, 21-18.

Aasgard moved up to the No. 3 flight with Nikolaeva for a European pairing, but dropped a 21-10, 21-14 debut.

George and Doty competed at the 4's together and needed a third set to decide a victor. The TU duo fell 21-16, 10-21, 9-15.

At No. 5, Anderson and Gallagher remained together, suffering a 17-21, 21-14, 11-15 setback.
