CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University women's beach volleyball team took two losses to finish its weekend at Austin Peay.

Tusculum (6-7, 3-1 SAC) makes a mid-week stop at Carson-Newman on Wednesday (Mar.18) for a 2 p.m. match.

Match 1: Wingate 3, Tusculum 2
The Bulldogs downed the Pioneers for the first time in program history in the rare non-conference meetup.

Tusculum got on the board first with a win at No. 5. Jordyn Anderson and Ryann Gallagher tallied a 21-17, 21-15 victory over the Bulldogs.

Cooper George and Solene Roussel won in the exhibition flight by scores of 25-23, 21-17.

Ally Doty and Siri Aasgard were handed their second loss of the season at No. 4 in a reverse sweep: 18-21, 21-15, 15-10.

At the top flight, Hannah Marsh and Sofia Vega Barrantes handled their opposites in a 21-14, 21-12 decision.

The 2's of Brynn Smith and Dasha Nikolaeva tied the match with a 21-17, 21-15 setback.

Wingate won the match with the victory at No. 3 over Sofia Richmond and Sylvia Liszewski in another reverse sweep: 18-21, 23-21, 15-7.

Match 2: Chattanooga 5, Tusculum 0
For the second time in as many days, the Mocs shut out the Pioneers.

Vega Barrantes and Marsh fell in a reverse sweep at the top flight, 19-21, 21-15, 15-10.

Smith was paired with Liszewski at No. 2 and finished with a 21-14, 21-17 setback.

The 3's of George and Nikolaeva dropped a 21-16, 21-14 decision.

Aasgard and Doty suffered another reversal of fortune by scores of 17-21, 21-14, 15-12.

At No. 5, Anderson and Gallagher lost 21-11, 21-14.

In the exhibition flight, Aubrey Justin and Roussel fell 21-15, 21-17.
