GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum football team will be conducting its annual Spring Scrimmage this Thursday (Apr. 12) at 5:30 p.m. at the TC practice complex. Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.
Fans will get an early preview of the 2018 Pioneers as head coach Jerry Odom and his staff hold their final scrimmage of the spring season.
Tusculum, who went 5-5 last season, posted its second straight top-tier finish in the South Atlantic Conference, as TC's league wins included a 32-31 double overtime win at Newberry and a 25-17 victory over 2017 SAC Champion and 12th-ranked Wingate, spoiling the Bulldogs undefeated season.
Tusculum returns starting quarterback Alex Ogle on offense who passed for 2,056 yards and 14 touchdowns. The Pioneers will return a bulk of the offensive backfield in Maxwell Joseph, Jordon Shippy, Lor'renzo Pratt and Will Boney. Tight ends Gary Breuklander and Conner Johnston are also slated to be back for the Black & Orange.
Tusculum will be announcing its 2018 football schedule next week.
