ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum placekicker Isaac Gallegos has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Gallegos, a freshman from Knoxville, Tennessee, tied a Tusculum single-game record with his four field goals in the Pioneers' 39-12 home win over Shorter University on Saturday. The Christian Academy of Knoxville graduate went a perfect 4-of-4 as he connected on field goals of 37, 25, 37 and 38 yards and becomes the first Pioneer to achieve the feat since 2010.
Gallegos also posted three extra points as he finished the game with 15 points, the second-most in program history.
The Pioneers (1-1, 0-0 SAC) open South Atlantic Conference play this weekend when they travel to Limestone College (1-1, 0-0 SAC) for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
