Tusculum College junior forward Tramicka James
has been named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week in women's soccer for the week ending October 2, the SAC office announced Tuesday. It is the third time in her career that she has received the honor.
James scored her third career hat trick to account for all of the scoring in the Pioneers' 3-0 victory over Newberry Saturday afternoon, giving Tusculum its third straight victory. Her goals came in the 19th, 25th and 57th minutes and helped the Pioneers improve to 2-0 in the SAC and 6-3-0 overall.
She leads the SAC with 21 points, good for 14th in Division II, and shares the conference lead with nine goals. James ranks fourth on the Tusculum program career list with 37 goals and 89 points in 51 matches.
Tusculum will be back in action Wednesday afternoon, hosting Mars Hill at 5 p.m. at Pioneer Field in a SAC match.
