James, Williams rank in top 30 in six categories
The Tusculum College women's soccer team is well-represented in the weekly NCAA Division II statistical report, through games of Oct. 2, the NCAA announced Tuesday.
Junior forward Tramicka James is ranked in the top 20 in four offensive categories, and freshman goalkeeper Marissa Williams
is ranked in two others as they have helped the Pioneers to a 6-3-0 overall record and a 2-0-0 mark in SAC play.
James (Wilson, N.C.) has nine goals and 21 points through the Pioneers' first nine games, resulting in a ranking of 11th in goals per game (1.00), 13th in total goals, 14th in total points and 15th in points per game (2.33).
Williams (Canton, Mich.) ranks 26th in both total saves (59) and save percentage (.868), having conceded just nine goals in eight matches spanning 732 minutes, 20 seconds of playing time.
Among the 330 Division II programs ranked in this week's report, the Pioneers have climbed to 38th in scoring average at 2.33 goals per game, while ranking 48th in shutout percentage at .444.
Tusculum continues its SAC schedule on Wednesday afternoon, hosting Mars Hill at 5 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
