Moore, Pioneers Listed in NCAA Men's Basketball Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS --- Tusculum College guard Kyle Moore is listed three times in this week’s NCAA Division II men’s basketball statistics.

Moore, a 6-3, 185-pound senior from Gainesville, Fla., is averaging 21.5 points per game, which is second in the South Atlantic Conference and 24th in the nation.

The two-time All-SAC standout has emerged as one of the top three-point shooters in the country.  Moore is averaging three 3-pointers per game, which is third-best in the league and 25th in the land.  In his 73-game career at Tusculum, Moore has record 231 career three-pointers, which are second-most in school history and third in the SAC Record Book.

Moore is also averaging 40.8 percent from beyond the arc, which is 48th in the country.

So far this season, Tusculum has proven to be one of the toughest defensive squads in the nation.  The Pioneers lead the SAC in scoring defense, limiting the opposition to only 59.9 points per game, which is 15th in the country.  Since Christmas, TC has held its opponents to 54.7 points per contest.

Tusculum is also ninth in the country in three-point field goal percentage (.268) and 37th in field goal percentage defense (.397).

The Pioneers (7-7) return to action Tuesday night when they host Mid-Continent University (8-8) for an 8 p.m. non-conference tilt at Pioneer Arena.  It will be the first recorded meeting between Tusculum and the Cougars.
