TUSCULUM WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS QUEENS UNIVERSITY OF CHARLOTTLE, 4-1

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tusculum College women’s soccer team (9-4-0) defeated Queens University of Charlotte (3-7-1), 4-1, Friday night at Pioneer Field.
TC came out early with a goal by Kelly Barron at the 6:57 minute mark. Barron was assisted by Danielle Tanner who scored two goals in the second half at the 75:03 and 86:19 marks.
Junior Ally Matthews had the game-winning goal and recorded her third goal of the season at 35:26. The Royals scored at the 30:04 minute with a pass by Kari Byzewski to Hayley Pasko which tied the game.
The Pioneers out-shot Queens 22-12. Freshman TC goalie Tori Hadjopoulos had six saves while Royal’s goalie Kristen Kornacki had 12.
The Pioneers will travel to South Atlantic Conference rival Catawba Oct. 13 for a 5 p.m. match.
