ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College forward Tramicka James has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending October 19, the league announced Tuesday.
James, a freshman from Wilson, N.C., led the No. 21 Pioneers to a 1-0-1 week on the road against Catawba and Armstrong Atlantic. Tusculum registered a come-from-behind 2-1 win over the Catawba Indians on Saturday as James notched her seventh assist on the season, setting up Kourtney Kavic's 59th minute match-winner.
The freshman forward then recorded her second multi-goal match of the campaign against the Armstrong Atlantic State Pirates on Monday, scoring a pair of first-half goals to pace the Pioneers in a 2-2 tie.
Tusculum returns to the pitch on Saturday when the Pioneers host Wingate University at Pioneer Field to resume their South Atlantic Conference schedule. The match is slated for 2 p.m.
