INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum College women’s soccer team is listed prominently in this week’s edition of the NCAA Statistics, ranking among the nation’s leaders in seven individual and team categories, announced NCAA officials Tuesday.

Tusculum enters the week ranked 18th in the nation in won-lost percentage (0.818), and is listed 33rd in scoring offense (2.64). The Pioneers are also ranked 84th in shutout percentage (0.364) and 99th in team goals against average (1.37).

Junior defender Courtney Turner (Cocoa Beach, Fla.) ranks 42nd in the nation in assists per match with 0.55 helpers per contest. The 2007 All-American currently leads the Pioneers with six assists after tying a career-high with two helpers against Brevard on Saturday.

Freshman Tramicka James (Wilson, N.C.) enters the week tied for 71st in the nation in assists per match (0.45), and is ranked 96th in points per match (1.55). Sophomore midfielder Michelle Meade (Greeneville, Tenn.) is also ranked among the nation’s leaders, beginning the week tied for 71st in the nation in assists per match (0.45).

Tusculum, ranked fourth in the NSCAA Southeast Region Rankings, returns to the pitch on Wednesday when the Pioneers host SAC rival Carson-Newman College, the seventh-ranked team in the nation, at Pioneer Field. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
