WOMEN'S SOCCER LISTED IN NCAA STATISTICSSeptember 15, 2009INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum College women’s soccer is ranked in fourth individual and team categories in the first installment of the NCAA Division II Statistics, announced NCAA officials Tuesday.
Tusculum has begun the season with four wins in its first six matches, including a 3-2 victory over 2007 national champion University of Tampa on Sep. 4. The Pioneers are ranked 61st in winning percentage (0.667), 73rd in scoring offense (2.0), and 85th in shutout percentage (0.333).
Sophomore midfielder Michelle Meade (Greeneville, Tenn.) enters the week tied for 35th in assists per match (0.67), and is ranked 10th in total helpers with four. The 5-5 halfback tied a career-high with two assists in Tusculum’s 5-4 win over Lynn on Sunday, recording the 13th helper of her career to move into a tie for ninth on the program’s all-time list.
Tusculum returns to the pitch on Wednesday when the Pioneers host Pfeiffer University at Pioneer Field. The match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
